TIBETAN BRIDGE

The world’s longest Tibetan bridge is just a stone’s throw from Cesana!

TIBETAN BRIDGE OF SAN GERVASIO GORGE

If you’re looking for an adrenaline rush, excitement and adventure, the Tibetan Bridge is definitely for you..

A breathtaking trail in an evocative setting: the Gorge of San Gervasio.

In the San Gervasio gorge, between Cesana Torinese and Claviere, in a naturally beautiful  environmental, naturalistic and geological setting, why not indulge your spirit of adventure with the thrilling crossing of the Tibetan bridge.

It is 544 metres long and consists of a succession of three bridges over the Piccola Dora, the first at a height of about 70 metres from the ground, the second at about 30 metres and the last at about 90 metres.

The walkway is made up of a succession of metal boards and the hiker’s safety is entrusted to two lateral ropes acting as handrails and a rope above where the safety carabiner runs.

The bridge is an attraction suitable for everyone.  For children a minimum age of 6 and a minimum height of 1.20 m are mandatory.

A harness, helmet and via ferrata set are required to cross the bridge.

There is a chalet at the entrance to the bridge where you pay for access and can hire the necessary equipment.

The chalet is at the entrance to Claviere coming from Cesana Torinese at the first roundabout. From the chalet a downhill path in the direction of the San Gervasio chapel leads in 15 minutes to the start of the bridge.

Average bridge crossing time: 1 hour and 30 minutes.
