THE ENVIRONS

Bousson

A charming village about 3 km from Cesana in the direction of Sauze di Cesana, characterised by rustic buildings that have been largely renovated. It is divided into two parts by the Ripa river. In the lower part of the village stands the Church of the Madonna delle Nevi, built in the 17th century, and in the upper part the Casa delle Lapidi (Gravestone Museum), a mysterious building whose function in the past is unclear.

Champlas Seguin

Champlas Seguin is part of the municipality of Cesana, about 7 km from the urban area in the direction of Sestriere.

A point of interest just above the hamlet is the Fort of Champlas Séguin, built in the last years of the 19th century in conjunction with the Chaberton Battery to defend the national territory from a possible French attack coming from the Monginevro Pass.
